The Big Way Hot Pot location in North Vancouver on Lonsdale stands as a premier example of high end commercial tile work. This project required a sophisticated approach to handle diverse materials and complex architectural details, resulting in a space that is as durable as it is visually striking.

Precision Masonry and Large Format Surfaces

The foundation of the restaurant’s aesthetic is built on a seamless blend of various tile sizes and styles:

• Expansive Flooring: We installed 24×48 large format floor tiles across the main dining areas. These oversized tiles minimize grout lines, creating a sleek, modern, and expansive feel throughout the restaurant.
• Artisan Wall Details: The project featured multiple different sizes and colors of wall tiles, including classic subway tiles and 4×4 small tiles used to create textured, multi-toned feature walls.
• Miter Cut Excellence: To maintain the luxury aesthetic, we performed a vast number of miter cuts on the wall tiles. By grinding the edges to a 45 degree angle for all external corners, we achieved clean, sharp joins that eliminate the need for traditional trim.

A High End Dining Environment

As seen in the final results, the combination of intricate wall patterns, neon signage backdrops, and massive floor slabs creates a truly fancy atmosphere. This project at Lonsdale demonstrates our ability to execute complex, high-detail tile designs that support the brand identity of a top-tier restaurant.

The Big Way Hot Pot location in Olympic Village is a premier example of high volume commercial tile work. This project required a strategic approach to handle the specific demands of a busy restaurant environment, from the industrial kitchen to the high end guest bar area.

Durable Kitchen and Dining Solutions

Commercial kitchens and dining rooms require surfaces that can withstand constant use while remaining easy to maintain. This installation featured:

• Kitchen Floor Tile: We installed 4×4 tiles across the kitchen floor. This choice provides a classic, high traction surface that is essential for safety and hygiene in professional food service environments.
• Large Format Dining Floors: For the main guest area, we used 24×48 floor tiles. The large scale of these tiles minimizes grout lines, creating a sleek, expansive look that is highly durable and easy for staff to clean.
• High Traffic Performance: The combination of small format utility in the back and large format style in the front ensures the restaurant is built for long term performance.

The Bar Area: Subway Tile Craftsmanship

The bar serves as a visual centerpiece for the restaurant. To enhance the atmosphere, we focused on a detailed wall installation:

• Subway Tile Design: We installed subway tiles across the bar wall area, providing a timeless and clean aesthetic that complements the modern branding of Big Way Hot Pot.
• Meticulous Alignment: Every tile was aligned with precision to ensure a uniform pattern that highlights the bar architecture and specialized lighting.
